As work evolves: concept, technique and an understanding heighten and increase the effectiveness of communication within the created pieces. Often I will find myself driven to produce a certain result or statement with an image and be done. This satisfies my general desire to provide a metaphorical and strong artistic statement, but there can be much more I’ve come to understand. I feel as though my previous works up until this point have given direct “one-liners” that are to the point and resolve too much.

The above being said, this body of work is compiled from these “one-liners” and arranged into compositions based on both concept and aesthetic artistic elements. This recent group of images takes these directed short statements and turns them into an educated open-ended short story; that through the exploration of the subject, line, division and ultimately composition leave more of a metaphorical question.
